  • Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will be a member of the Board, working closely with the shareholders and as an integral part of the executive team
  • With the company's owners focused on long term success, the key challenge for the new CFO will be to ensure the business runs effectively and efficiently and that the financing structure is optimised.

Finance, Taxation and Reporting:

  • Management of the financial infrastructure and processes for the Group, including setting up systems, management reporting including the publishing of both full and half-year results
  • Management of the Group's financing requirements, including developing and maintaining relationships with the international banking syndicate, bond investors, agency/trustee functions, and credit ratings agencies.
  • Fund Raising: Co-leading fund raising, including establishing domestic as well as offshore fund structures / entities, authoring and review of documentation, engaging with the potential investors
  • Valuations of portfolio companies and ‘Active Engagement’ therein within select areas
  • Interface with investment teams to ensure timely and accurate funding and reporting of investments
  • Treasury Management and Foreign exchange management
  • Interface with bankers and management of banking transactions / relationships
  • Interface with statutory and internal auditors to ensure timely completion of audits
  • Ensure compliance with local statutes (including Income Tax Act, Companies Act, Service Tax Act, etc.)
  • Manage the expectations of the stakeholders through providing them monthly MIS, Accounts, cash flows statements, and legal compliance reports
  • Working with the Portfolio Companies on select project implementation
  • Management of all aspects of the Group's treasury activities, including all corporate finance matters, cash management including cash (dividend) extraction, interest rate and foreign exchange rate management, covenant compliance

Advisor to the Board

  • Acting as advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors on the financial implications and risks related to key business issues
  • Working closely with the CEO regarding the ongoing financial condition of the Group and the co-ordination of financial objectives with key strategic goals
  • Identifying emerging threats and opportunities, and initiating actions to ensure that the Group's financial condition underpins its ability to achieve its strategic objectives

Strategic Planning

  • Participating in the strategic planning for the future of the Group with other members of the executive team
  • Closely work with all department heads to ensure expenditures, adhere to legal and internal budgetary requirements
  • An integral part of the role will be to set up systems and establish robust and scalable processes with the appropriate risk mitigants in place
  • Holding Investment Committee Meeting & Advisory Board Meeting

Operational Focus

  • Demonstrate a strong Track record of continuous improvement, cost management and operational performance improvement and effectiveness
  • Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the key operating performance information required to both drive performance and meet regulatory reporting requirements helping to drive a commercial and cost effective culture within the organisation


  • We are seeking a broadly experienced and well-rounded CFO, with a solid track record and demonstrable commercial acumen hence A Chartered accountant with 15+years of experience is a must for this role
  • MBA / CS / ICWA equivalent qualification along with Chartered Accountant degree would be an added advantage
  • A candidate who has a strong orientation in setting-up robust systems/improvising existing systems/frameworks within an established Private Equity fund / NBFC / Bank / AMC setup in order to optimise the functioning of the department would be preferred
  • Currently operate, or have previous experience, as a CFO at Board level in a standalone business; or be a step up candidate (a high potential number two or Divisional CFO). Should have demonstrated ability in scaling up the growth of a Fund, Asset Management Company, NBFC, Bank, etc
  • Have a track record of creating value through progressive leadership roles within a reputable organisation
  • Bring high levels of intellect and experience coupled with the character and presence to make an immediate contribution to the business.
  • Experience of heavy assets/critical delivery assets, including value assessment, prioritisation, strategy and OPEX/CAPEX assessment.
  • Long range forecasting and planning experience
