Our client is one of the largest retail chains in the home improvement category. They currently have more than 350 stores across South East Asia. The range of products include hardware, household, electrical, stationery, sports, car accessories, jewellery & cosmetics, toys and gifts.

JOB PROFILE:

  • Set up and develop the new business from ground up in India.
  • Act as key domestic liaison with all stakeholders including, employees, mall owners, suppliers, service providers and other parties.
  • Build a strong team encompassing retail outlet management, outlet set up , finance, warehousing, human resource and logistics to support the rapid growth of the business.
  • Work together with shareholders to obtain all necessary business licenses and meet outlet opening targets from year to year in India.
  • Coordinate the efforts of the business development, set up management, finance, human resource, logistics and other relevant departments, in order to achieve the agreed targets.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • Years of experience: 12 years - 25 years.
  • Incumbent must have experience in replicating a successful business model in the retail segment.
  • Must be hands on and highly efficient.
  • Should be people and target oriented.
  • Strong experience in customer management across the life cycle.
  • Good understanding of the merchandizing function.
  • Experienced in setting up and managing a multi store system of around 200 stores.
  • Must know how to navigate government bodies and compete with existing big retail players.
