Job Profile:

Role: Head - New Product Development

Location: NCR

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop production specifications and evaluates processing and storage operations in plants.
  • Develop guidelines to facilitate formulation of standard operating procedures.
  • Documentation of all scientific development works in compliance to the company's process
  • Validation and checking of the recipe & process validation reports submitted by plants
  • Define metrics, dashboards and MIS to monitor and track the new product developments (recipe status, trial status, cost analysis, Marketing comments, timelines for launch etc) ; take corrective actions to drive adherence to defined and agreed SLAs
  • Co-ordination with Production and quality team for product performance and compliances.
  • Presentation and report preparation to be shared with Top Management team and during official visit from Group.
  • Ensure that NPD projects are delivered within timeline
  • Liaising with Projects, Marketing, SCM, M&E & Packaging team for various outputs required for business at the time of the NPD trials, planning, agreement, stabilization, material scheduling, and finalization of process loss for different products.
  • Supporting in developing process, introduce new technologies, selecting & commissioning of equipment, organize trials, and organize documentation & validation to get the site approved & thereafter commercialization of projects.
  • Cost economic feasibility studies for both Process and Raw materials & issue of new standards for commercial launch
  • Assisting in identification & selection of new machinery for improving the existing operations / processes in terms of efficiency & quality & thus meeting the business requirements.
  • Ensure that all the recipes and documentation related to the products are update and available
  • Coordinate project along with Group R&D.
  • Identify and implement critical quality improvement projects (product, process, food safety, etc.) to raise the bar of quality.
  • Ensure that all Quality audits (internal and external) are done as per timeline and expectation.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

Candidate Profile:

  • Hotel Management Graduate/ B.Tech in Food Technology/Diploma in food science.
  • Strong logical and analytical skills
  • Project management and in-market execution
  • Demonstrated experience in leading projects and cross-functional teams
  • Strong understanding and experience of generating insights, understanding consumer behavior and brand positioning and creative execution
  • Strong understanding of research techniques
